No one knows why
Schools of dancing shoes began to strangely
Strand themselves on Tuesday.
Would-be saviors dragged them back to water
Only they came back to
Polka, rumba, waltz across the beach and
Die at last in grasses.
Perhaps they search for happy feet.

These were taken at this year’s Glenwood Arts Festival. There was about an hour of heavy rain, a bit of lightning and thunder, but fortunately no wind.

It’s a much better video than the description implies.
Remember Richard Brautigan? This short video is based on his poem “all watched over by machines of loving grace.”
I really liked Brautigan’s work, back in the day. I’m not sure how I feel about it now but this moves me to find time to do some re-reading.
It would be interesting to learn what Brautigan would think of this video but, alas, he’s a long time no longer with us. AB/CD/CD did this video. They do a lot of commercials and music videos.
